Annette McCullough

Annette McCullough, 89 of Middletown, New Jersey died on Friday, August 30, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born Monday, April 15, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, Annette was the daughter of the late Anthony and Celia DeVito. She grew up in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, graduating from Manual High School. Annette would eventually meet the love of her life, Ronald. The couple would wed and start a family of their own, raising their three daughters in Canarsie. Annette worked as a secretary at New York Life for many years. Once their girls were grown, Annette and Ronald moved to Staten Island. Annette woud settle in Middletown 9 years ago to be closer to her family. Annette was a woman of strong faith and attended church regularly. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Above all, Annette loved being surrounded by her family. She was a kind and caring woman who will be deeply missed by all those lucky enough to have known her. Annette is predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years Ronald. Annette is survived by her loving children Karen Ruggiero and her husband Michael, Christine Giustino and her husband Joseph, and Susan Manzi and her husband Louis, by her adoring grandchildren Joseph Giustino and Angele, Michelle Hill and her husband Morgan, Ashley Meli and her husband Anthony, Melissa Reardon and her husband Francis, Anthony Ruggiero, Nicholas Manzi, and Victoria Manzi, by her cherished great grandchildren Gianna, Alisa, and Julian, and by her caring sister Marlene Vietri and her husband Anthony. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals & Cremation Services Inc., 111 Main Street, Matawan, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
