Ramona DiGuardia Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ramona Di Guardia, 91 of Middletown & Colts Neck, formerly of Eltingville passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Brandywine Assisted Living. Born Tuesday, April 15, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Silvino Gonzales and the late Ines Hansen Gonzales. Ramona a switchboard operator for both NY Telephone and The Holiday Inn located in Staten Island, was also a devoted wife , mother and grandmother. Ramona, was the life of the party, You could find her dancing the moment that music started playing. She thrived in music and would come alive to dance. She loved Bingo, and relished doing word search puzzles to keep her mind active. Ramona's family remembers her as the most Amazing cook, and was noted as the best Non Italian, Italian cook. Ramona cherished trips to Florida every year, it was one of her happiest places. She was the devoted wife of 59 years to the late Salvatore DiGuardia who passed away in 2017. Loving mother of Glenn Cabrera(Julie), Alan DiGuardia (Nancy), Gina DiGuardia, Donna Folker (James), and Debra DiGuardia. Adored sister of Wilhelmina Gonzales, and Stanley Gonzales, and sister in law of Andrew DiGuardia and Julius Vega. Cherished grandmother of Brian, Graeme, Natasha, Danielle, Evan, Lawrence, Samantha, and Alyssa, and doting great grandmother of Brennan, Brody, and Brielle. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals & Cremation Services Inc. located at 113 Main Street Matawan, New Jersey 07747. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals & Cremation Services Inc., 113 Main Street, Matawan, New Jersey.
