Susan Boylan

January 18, 2022

DUE TO THE IMPENDING SNOW STORM, THE MEMORIAL GATHERING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Susan Boylan, 69, of Matawan, New Jersey went home to the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Susan was born and raised on Staten Island, NY. After graduating from Port Richmond High School Susan attended the Clairol National Education Alliance & Wilfred Academy of Hair and Beauty Culture. More recently Susan would move to Matawan to be closer to family. Susan was passionate about serving in Christian church ministries, participating in bible studies as well as prayer groups. She was known for lending an ear without judgment, encouraging others, and sharing God's love by making anyone she met feel special, as if they were her own family. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, decorating, crafting, gardening, shopping, sewing, knitting, listening to her favorite music, and sharing photos of her favorite "Granddog" Snoopy. She was fond of Sight & Sound Theatres in Lancaster, PA, and would visit often. Susan was predeceased by her loving husband Peter Boylan and her beloved daughters, Suzanne Taverna and Crystal Taverna, and by her caring brother James Napolitano. Susan (Napolitano) Boylan devoted most of her life to raising her family and caring for anyone who was in need. She is survived by her two daughters: Janine Sharif (husband, Hassan Sharif) and Christina Taverna (Fiancé, Samantha Alexander), as well as her siblings: Christine Cook, Michael Napolitano and Michele Murphy. Please be advised that if you are attending the memorial services that masks and social distancing practices are required. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Susan Boylan are welcome to the following charitable organizations: *Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center - www.giving.mskcc.org *On Your Mark - www.onyourmark.org *Save U.S. Pets Foundation - www.saveuspets.org *Bridge Women's Center - www.bridgewomenscenter.com
